The following was the message for the first one which was 2 years ago.
You must submit two identical color photographs of yourself taken within 30 days of the filing of this application. The photos must have a white background, be printed on thin paper with a glossy finish, and be unmounted and unretouched. NOTE: Digital photos are NOT acceptable.
In the latest RFE, they didnt say anything about digital. Just wanted me to submit another set of pics.

FYI: The number of name check related lawsuits increased 10 times from January 2006 to January 2007 :) I estimate the total number for this year will be 3-4 times bigger than 2006 number.

I have nothing to say about the dems in particular...........however, you are being extremely short sighted if you want Obama to loose. He is driving this country in the right direction, and you go with any republican who just talks nonsense of tax cut and national security, you may have a green card or even citizenship - and your children will be wishing to go to another country as there are no opportunities here!

i disagree with you, i love obama the candidate, but since then he did little to merit his election, so howz health care gonna help ppl who have no job in the first place, stimulus was a colossal failure by any standard, he referred republicans as "enemies", howz that for a "change" in dc? we all know this country needs innovation but therz no significant increase in R&D under his presidency, i love some of his decisions but saying he is taking country in the right direction and there is no republican who can do that is not true,

This Jan 1,2007 date is another Joke by this lawmakers. These undocumented workers came crossing the border without any port of entry evidence. How can they prove they came before or after that date.

They asked the biggest takers of H-1B visas. They just so happened to be Indian companies, funny enough.
I don't see why you would think of the bill as insane. It weeds out the abuse clogging up an otherwise great visa program.

07/08/07 2:45 PM EST : FOX News interviewed the attorney who filed the first suit on the Visa date fiasco on behalf of a Polish woman in the Chicago area. The anchor started off the interview by making a reference to "hi tech workers" and that some of these folks were in the British terror plot !! "Why are you filing the lawsuit when your client can apply for the GC in Oct?" !!Anyway, the attorney was quite articulate in explaining the issue. Guess who followed the attorney ... Rep Tom Tancredo who called this a "minor inconvenience" before stating he wants all immigration to be halted!!

a) Republican base is not you and me, in case you haven't noticed they either cater to big biz or to a specific "kind" of Americans.
but that specific kind is now the majority, the senate seats they lost are because of the extreme views of the candidates
b) Tea Party is basically opposed to many things including free trade and immigration. Like any other politician they might change when they have power, if they don't then hope things don't get worse.

c) Nikki Haley and Bobby Jindal don't represent us, they are American for all practical purposes. If anything they have distanced themselves from any indian heritage in their campaigns. Nothing to expect here.

I have the same feeling. With the move to Jan 2005 and the new rule about namechecks I think the numbers will get used fast for ROW.
The only people that will not be able to take advantage of this are the ones with old PDs from BEC that filed 485 and 140 in the June-August madness and are waiting for the 140 to be approved.
I presume that ROW would be significantly impacted by this as India & China would not benefit a lot from it now because of PDs being badly retrogressed. I'm afraid that this has the potential of exhausting EB3-ROW row numbers for the rest of the year. Am I wrong to assume this?

Total cost for Medicals -> $610
Attorney fees for the spouse thru husband's company -> $800

OPT is just a bandaid that allows politicians to postpone addressing the real issues for a little while. If the real probably are not addressed in 2 years when the OPTs run out it will actually be worse.

I would like to request all the senior members at IV to help us with these questions:
1. The official expected delay in visa issuance in case of extra processing is 3 weeks and the DOS has conveniently left the additional administrative processing delay open ended which in turn has left us all law abiding professional non-immigrant/immigrant workers out of our jobs, away from our families and friends and homes for an exceptionaly long time. Is this worthy of a lawsuit/class action lawsuit given the number of people who are suffering?
2. DOS officials refuse to inform the applicants why and where their applications are stuck and how much longer it is expected to delay. Is this worthy of a lawsuit/class action lawsuit given the number of people who are suffering? Why can't the DOS come out with a bi-weekly report on how many people applied for visas, who were denied and who are referred to AAP (and how long each AAP applicant has been delayed)?
3. DOS VISA/ US immigration law does not seem to have any mechanism to protect the rights (do we have any rights or not is also a question) of those who get delayed unjustly (unjustly because they do not have any known criminal background and yet are treated like criminals). Is this worthy of a lawsuit/class action lawsuit given the number of people who are suffering?
4. So many of us in the security check are getting delayed just because our names are similar to known criminals in the databases. I wonder how many people by the name of "Timothy" (of the Timothy McVeigh of oklahoma bombing fame) or other US citizens whose names are similar to people taking part in various conflicts around the world are delayed/denied entry into the country for so long because of this illogical association. Does this "similar name so you are a criminal too" policy of DOS lend itself to judicial review?
5. In many cases remember that justice delayed is justice denied (as many of us will not be able to return due to reasons such as job loss or delay beyond I-797 approved time.
Sorry for this long post but many of us have these questions in mind. If you could tell us what are the problems we can face (finances, resources, etc.) if lawsuit/class action lawsuit route is adopted it would be of great help. Are there any organizations in US who can take up our cause (such as ACLU). Even if you say that this will be a futile exercise, it will at least help us all accept our fate a little better.

Ok, I've seen a lot of threads about go to the rally, actions items, I've reading a lot of guys saying dont ask for your receipt status, dont waste your time etc, etc.
Yes we did the rally we were great with all those signs, and appearing in the Indy TV but...
Question remains open:
1. When are they going to increase the GC quota?
2. When congress id going to do something?
I've the feeling that that's it we made our point but we are still with no GC, waiting receipts..............

I support this campaign too. Setting up a consular appointment and the anxiety that goes with not knowing whether the visa is granted despite having an approval is a stressful experience.
