There are still 28 more days to go :). Also the new Visa bulletin for October COULD stay the same or go back just a few months. So just keep your hopes up.:)

It is very hard to pass 28 sleepless night....:):) Hard to make it thru even one...

In addition to calling the CHC members, We may be better off in getting support from individual law makers if we target each one individually ( Law makers who have been pro legal immigration ) If 10 members call such law makers it would help them make up their minds and show support for these bills

    Just my 2 cents.

    Sussie,
Your letter nor the proposed drft amendment to CSPA does not talk about the children of parents who applied their GC under employment based category and got stuck in the Labor Card approval stage for years and when labor got approved and I140 also got approved then again stuck due to Visa retrogression. We must include injustice being done to these children and should ask for retrospective amendment to CSPA to provide relief.

If you are in Illinois are you near enough to try and meet with Richard Durbin, he professes to caring about the children of illegal immigrants. Maybe he needs to put a face to a situation of the forgotten children of legal employment based adjustees to push him into realizing they even exist and he does them an injustice with his DREAM act.

I am a parent of an aged out child. It sucks, quite frankly. Never sure what to say to him when this issue is discussed. I would be happy to become more active on this issue.

How many of us are on this site, does anyone know. Each of us trying to work individually is not going to be as effective as a joint effort.

I am in. If I choose 5K now, can i later "upgrade" to half marathon?

Yes Needhelp, just like EB3 to EB2 you can port from 5K to Half or Full Marathon but as Santb1975 said, only if the marathon and full marathon have not reached registration max of 18,000. They estimate this max will be reached by August this year.

I will get the Team IV Membership Form to you this evening!!

    coopheal ,
I have been contributing. Even for the latest Capitol Hill effort I did call my friends and they did contribute. I have the numbers. I myself contributed 100$. I would have spent at least 8 hours making calls and making my friends contribute $. I never gave up on that. But still I do not get enough motivation to keep this doing. I have collected around 200$ at my work for meeting the lawmakers effort but returned the money to individuals. I am sure it would have ended up helping EB2.

    reddymjm,

I participated in IV lobby day. Myself along with other IV members presented the talking points to lawmakers. One thing I can say for sure is those materials didn't have a single line for EB2 alone. IV's strategy is to strive for common solutions which would benefit every one.

My wife will be in US in December on H4 visa. She has an approved H1B 797 notice starting 1st October 2007. When she applies for H4 to H1, is that under the quota? My understanding is that her H1 approval has already been counted against the quota and the COS will not be subject to yearly cap.

    Appreciate your replies.

ok, there is a lot of prediction that the dates will move from C to U in the very near future. What does it mean for people who currently have I-1485 applications pending? Does it mean they have to wait until the dates move from U to whatever their PD is? if it moves to U in Aug, I think it will be in Oct when it will move again to sometime 2003 (given the large # they are about to receive).

    Any ideas about this?
