it is a slow process. This recurring contribution is a good process in long run. We will inspire our members to contribute. This will grow in to thousands eventually. Keep up the good work with our core objectives.

As everyone could see on this thread, only few members have signed up for recurring contributions. We sent emails to all 8000+ members and the emails are still bouncing. Members have put fake email addresses. Despite repeated requests members have not updated their profile. In future when we send out updates by email or phone, such members will not get any updates too.
Since yesterday more than 2000 members have visited IV site and read this thread. We did not even get 1/100th of members signing up for this and contributing as little as $20.

EVERY IV member should be planning to attend the rally!!! This is a historic opportunity. There is already buzz in the news and our past actions have made people take notice! Congress will be able to do something this Fall, but not after that due to the presidential campaigns. THEY WILL ONLY ACT IF WE SPEAK UP! That is the American way! If you really want to remain in America then you need to act like an American! We will act American by attending the rally and SPEAK UP! We have the most important thing on our side: TRUTH! Actually even the Brits. have a rule in their immigration process stating that if you have spent a total of 10 yrs in that country, that alone is a basis for a PR card there. Citizenship is another 1 yr after that(there is currently some debate about making it 2 mainly over spousal PR cards). This rule is based on the premise that if you have been part of the society for that length of time then you have contributed sufficiently to warrant peership. So by this score, many of those who posted that they have been here since earlier than 1999 would have been eligible even absent the employers assistance.
Given that we have been tax paying, law abiding and patiently waiting through a bureaucratic system that has to date not approved 500K visas that they could have, we have a legitimate grouse to any fair minded person. We have contributed tremendously through our purchasing power and in many other ways to this economy.
As it stands however the system is mainly screwing EB India. Ideally they should start up a Country caps for H1b visas also. Only then will the foolishness of per country quotas for EMPLOYMENT BASED immigration be fully apparent. I see potentially another example of this "managed overflow" system at work here.
It seems likely on the Oct. VB that EB3 ROW would have been afforded a much more generous PD than EB2I. Based on the USCIS's assertion that henceforth spillover will be horizontal before vertical, the presumption can then be that EB3ROW would basically be limited to 28% of 140K, on that basis and recent retrogression for EB3ROW, those numbers should be used up rapidly. I'll bet that this will not happen. A whole lot of "managing" is going on.
I see good response to Citizenship slogan in this short time frame. THATS what we deserve guys after this much screwup.
Also understand there are so many many fully frustrated and screwed up by these delays unable to take it anymore and left the country. They are not typing here, but they took the shots. They too dont deserve this. Remember how thrilled we felt when we first got the Visa(whoever you are). If we all voice together for this, I am very sure it can work.
Lets push for a new rule 3+ years GC, 8+ years Citizenship. We shouldnt be paying for other's disservice. But lets hold on this till 5882 passes or fails.. In any case, we must be pushing for this.

Got email approvals on our I485 with PD of Mar10 2006 on EB-2.. Was at NSC.. Looks like they are processing beyond the Mar1st cutoff date..
How come your priority date in the profile says Jan 06. And now you say Mar10 got approved. Please share more information on your case.

I have no idea. The first time I called them was in May (couple of weeks after I did my fingerprints). And was told NC is clear and yet not picked up by any IO for review as they are processing 08/2006 RD cases and my RD is 03/2007. So I have to wait for my turn.

We got a call from USCIS person for verifying our address. She said our finger prints have been expired and will send new notices (which will reach us in about 3 weeks)

For people who don't know, Country Cap goes by Country of Birth , not country of citizenship...So if you are born in India but now you are canadian Citizen, you will still be counted as Indian for EB based Green Card allocation, isn't this a blatent racist agenda. I have a letter from Congresswoman Zoe Logfren's office, which clearly says 'I will work on removing arbitrary country quota on employement based Green Cards', we just need to pursue her...

FBI checks start only after finger printing. They run them through criminal database. This will still be done. Name check is different and it will be waived after pending for more than 180 days. By April 2008, you should be clear from all delays.

Just to give some of the members information on how airline miles could be used.
typically we would need at least 25,000 miles to redeem a round trip ticket.
Sometimes some individuals may have let say 20,000 miles. they are 5,000 short of a round trip. Then, we can use someone else who may have about 5000 miles to transfer to the individual with 20,000 to make up the 25,000 for redeeming.
There is always a transfer fee associated. typically transferring 5000 miles will cost about $50.
It is not practical to combine several accounts of 2000, 5000, etc to make up 25,000 miles because the transfer fee alone will get to be around $250 to $300. For $300 you might as well just buy the ticket.
Some of you have been willing to offer a couple of thousand miles. this would be used only if i can find someone who is just a few thousand miles short of 25000 so we can combine.
I am keeping a log of all the miles donors. Please be aware that not all miles can be used especially when they are just a few thousand miles.
Miles Donors when you PM me, please mention how many miles you would like to donate. Some of you are sending me a message that you would like to donate some miles. But if you do not mention how much miles you have, i cannot decide if we can use them.
Also individuals who need air ticket please PM me.

Dirty linen is when people like me and Pegasus503 offer our contrasting views (and get red-dotted by immature posters who cannot have a civil debate) AND the media thinks these IV folks are not even in agreement on this subject. This to me would be detrimental to singhsa3's efforts and thus I wrote let's not bicker/argue/wash dirty linen about whether we agree with singhsa3's idea or not.
As far as your advice "if you are not convinced then stay out of the way", take a cold shower, dude. I was the first to delete my post and asked others to do the same so this would benefit singhsa3's campaign. If your miniscule brain cannot fathom my posts, ignore them and help singhsa3 out instead. Lets start diong something. I'll start writing atleast one letter everyday to anyone who can help us. I'll start with Zoe Lofgren who was so supportive for us, and everyday I'll be writing to Obama on Change.gov.
I'll really appreciate comments on this bulletin from all of us disappointed once again, but would also like to see what action we can taKe.
We need action now.. this is too much. Next month or 2, the dates will become U, and then we start dreaming about Oct 1st.. Not good approach..
